According to the park's website:

Ghibli Park represents the world of Studio Ghibli.

It is being built on the grounds of Aichi Expo '70 Commemorative Park (Moricoro Park) in consultation with the surrounding forest.

There are no major attractions or rides.

Take a walk, feel the wind, and discover the wonders.

What you will immediately notice when you look at the map is the vast number of green spaces and winding pathways that surround the attraction. Many of Hayao Miyazaki's popular films express a reverence for nature, and that spirit is clearly evident in the construction of the park, which is built in an environmentally friendly manner with minimal impact on the trees and surrounding environment.

The first phase of Ghibli Park will open on November 1, with tickets sold through a lottery held August 10-22.

Once inside the park, visitors can visit the Ghibli Warehouse, an indoor facility filled with exhibits of Ghibli works. From robot soldiers to cat buses, the exhibits will amaze you with the secrets of Ghibli's works.

The first phase also includes a replica of the Earth House from "Whisper of the Heart" and a previously built replica of Satsuki and May's house from "My Neighbor Totoro. The latter is located in the park's "Dondoko Mori no Mae" (in front of the Dondoko Forest), but only children are allowed to enter the forest to maintain its magical spirit.

The second phase of Ghibli Park, Mononoke no Sato, is scheduled to open in the fall of 2023, while the third phase, the Witches' Valley exhibit, will open by the end of 2023.

High-resolution maps, posters, and leaflets can be downloaded from the Ghibli Park website.
