Check out Ghibli Park in the latest video released by the studio

Studio Ghibli has released a new short video introducing the attractions at Ghibli Park, which will open in Aichi Prefecture on November 1.

Tickets for the opening were sold by lottery from August 10-22.

The park is not only a tribute to the timeless masterpieces of Hayao Miyazaki and other artists involved in the production of films at the Hayao Miyazaki Studio, but also to nature, as it was built on the grounds of the Aichi Expo '70 Memorial Park (Moricoro Park). In constructing the building, consideration was given to the impact on the park's trees and natural environment.

Once inside, visitors can tour the Ghibli Grand Warehouse, an indoor facility filled with displays of Ghibli's works. From robot soldiers to cat buses, visitors can learn the secrets of Ghibli's works.

Also available to visit when the park opens are a replica of the "Earth House" from "Whispering Hearts" and a previously built replica of "Satsuki and May's House" from "My Neighbor Totoro". The latter is located "in front of the Dondoko Forest" in the park, but only children are allowed to enter the forest to keep the magical spirit alive.

The second phase of the Ghibli Park, "Mononoke no Sato," is scheduled to open in the fall of 2023, and the third phase, "Witches' Valley," is scheduled to open by the end of 2023.
