Annecy 2018 Film Festival Announces 130 Short Films in Competition

The Annecy International Animated Film Festival has released the first part of the Official Selection for its 2018 edition, which will take place in Annecy, France, from June 11 to 16, 2018.

The festival has selected 130 short films for the Official Selection from more than 3,050 submissions. The full list of films in competition can be found on the Annecy website.

The breakdown of the categories is as follows:

Entries came from 93 countries, with France, the United States, and the United Kingdom leading the number of entries.

Selections for the Festival's TV category and commissioned films will be announced at the end of March, followed by the selection of the Virtual Reality category on April 16, and the selection of feature films and out-of-competition films at the end of April.

The selection committee for the Short Films in Competition is composed of Marcel Jean, Artistic Director of the Annecy Film Festival, the film and program planning team (Laurent Million, Yves Nougalade, Sébastien Sperrer) and Peggy Zeigman-Lecarme, Director of the Grenoble Cinematheque
