Transe Le Gros" by Julie Faure-Brac

This sequence (Transe Le Gros) by Julie Faure Black was created for the interactive installation Incantations in collaboration with dancer Rachid Uramdan. Blanche" in Paris in 2009. It is the first time I have seen an animated work that captures the frenzy of ritualistic practice and the sense of disturbing chaos and comedy that often accompanies an appeal to the divine.
