Moonbot Releases Trailer for Annie Award-Nominated Short "The Raven"

Shreveport, Louisiana-based Moonbot Studios is not only an Academy Award nominee for its film "The Numberlys" but is currently nominated for two Annie Awards for its short films "Silent" and "The Raven." Directed by Brandon Oldenburg ("The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore") and Limbert Fabian ("Chipotle's The Scarecrow"), the film is an adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's classic of the same name Co-directors Rimbert Fabian and Chipotle's The Scarecrow Co-director Rimbert Fabian said, "'The Raven' is intended to feel, visually, like a waking dream. We wanted the audience to follow the narrator as his subconscious takes over and his torment deepens."

Moonbot also completed a second Poe film, "The Cask of Amontillado," directed by William Joyce and Joe Bloom. Both Poe shorts were commissioned by the e-learning company Amplify, which plans to use the films as part of its seventh-grade curriculum.
