Slamdance 2016 Animated Selection Announced

Slamdance, the young independent film festival that competes with Sundance, has announced the Animation Competition for its 22nd annual competition, which will take place January 22-28 in Park City, Utah.

Fourteen short films have been selected for the main competition section, with several shorts nominated from other categories. Slamdance generally prefers a handmade approach to CG, preferring individual animated works to large group productions. CalArts' Experimental MFA program had a strong appeal this year with four films in the Competition section.
