Paramount Releases Animation-Filled Trailer for John Krasinski's "-IF-"

Paramount Pictures has released the first trailer for John Krasinski's live-action and CG-animated hybrid feature film "IF," due out May 17, 2024.

Paramount's brief synopsis goes like this: "IF" is about a young girl who discovers she can see everyone's imaginary friends and what she does with her super powers as she embarks on a magical adventure that reconnects forgotten IFs and their children.

From the trailer, it appears that most, if not all, of the invisible friends in the film will be animated. We have confirmed that Framestore is doing the CG animation for the film.

In addition to the trailer, Paramount also released a behind-the-scenes video of the film's production. According to actor and producer Ryan Reynolds, he and Krasinski had been discussing making a "Pixar live-action movie" for several years.

"If" will be directed by Krasinski, who will produce it through his company Sunday Night, along with Ryan Reynolds and his Maximum Effort, Alison Seeger, and Andrew Form. The film stars Reynolds, Krasinski, Kaylee Fleming, Fiona Shaw, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Louis Gossett Jr, Alan Kim, Liza Colon-Zayas, and Steve Carell.
