Cartoon Brew-s 3rd Student Animation Festival Selected Works

I am pleased to announce the selections for Cartoon Blue's third annual Student Animation Festival. With over 200 submissions this year, it was a challenge to program the festival. We chose filmmakers who were not afraid to try new ideas, techniques, and styles, and who produced work that exuded confidence and maturity.

(Brief note: For the first time, we had multiple selections from two schools: Rhode Island School of Design and Sheridan. In particular, three works were selected from Sheridan. This year, Sheridan received a record number of 20 submissions, recognizing the diversity of voices coming out of the school and the consistently high technical skills of its students)

The following 10 filmmakers will each receive $300. In addition, a new experiment will be introduced this year. After all films have been screened, the audience will vote for their favorite. The winner of the Audience Award will receive an additional $500.

Cartoon Brew's Student Animation Festival is made possible by this year's major sponsor, JibJab, which always generously supports young talent and is proud to be a sponsor of this festival.

Once again, we would like to congratulate the selected films for this year's Student Animation Festival. The first film will premiere on Monday, July 2 at Cartoon Brew. Directors: Uri Lotan, Adam Campbell, Elizabeth McMahill School Ringling College of Art and Design Country USA (Florida)
