The Event, by Julia Potts.

New York-based filmmaker Julia Pott's latest short film, "The Event," combines her quirky illustration style with dreamy, faded live action. Based on a poem by Tom Chivers, The Event is a reverse-chronological tale about the end of the world. Pott makes clever use of masked screen forms to enhance the story's sense of direction. This short was commissioned by Channel 4's short film project Random Acts.
