Bradley Manning Had Secrets, by Adam Butcher.

Adam Butcher's Bradley Manning Had Secrets is a masterful blend of form and content. Using transcripts of actual online conversations that imprisoned U.S. soldier/whistleblower/hacking activist Bradley Manning had with Adrian Lamo, Butcher convincingly portrays the man responsible for one of the largest security leaks in modern history.

With the release of Disney's "Wreck-It Ralph," the awkward 8-bit animation style has finally jumped the shark. But "Bradley Manning Had Secrets" is a rare example of a drama made more authentic by placing the characters in a lo-fi world. The animation was created by rotoscoping very low-resolution live-action footage. See the making-of videos here and here.
