"Una Furtiva Lagrima" by Carlo Vogele.

Carlo Vogel has a talent for infusing inanimate objects with personality. He uses light fixtures, socks, and now (with the help of Enrico Caruso) fish to tell his story.

It is fitting that a meditation on the tragic fate of fish be depicted using actual fish. When Vogele posted the trailer for Una Furtiva Lagrima earlier this year, we learned that there is a good reason animators do not usually use dead fish as models. But Vogele's efforts paid off, and an ingenious fimaking animation was born.
