"Old Portents & Hand-Out Hijinx" by Ben Kraus

Ben Cruz's Old Portents & Hand-Out Hijinx is an atypical collection of fragmented episodes stacked into one interesting piece. The fragmented composition of these shorts feels like the modern equivalent of the Internet as a viewing platform, a similarly fragmented, nonlinear experience that contains surprises around every corner. Kraus is less committed to film and animation techniques, but the strength of the film lies in its memorable ideas and solid comedic voice.
