"When I made this film, I was exploring the idea of how living things are made of matter.

"When I made this film, I was exploring the idea of how living things are made of matter, and when we die and rot and return to the earth, and how that matter makes other living things. Basically I left out the middle margin, so that the moment our consciousness dies, the matter is reorganized into something new. Then I put them in one piece and gave the whole thing a silly name."
