The Thumb Thief from the Moon Cocoon, by Bradley Schaffer

"From the Moon's Cocoon" Thumb Thief is an unabashedly wild, funny, and action-packed gem of a cartoon, and while there are self-conscious references to the B-movie genre throughout, the short's action revolves around its star, an over-the-top short fusion Texas sheriff, who The film gains a fresh outlook by making it.

The craftsmanship of this short is admirable, as is Schaffer's cinematic approach to stop motion Thumb Snatchers, directed and written by Bradley Schaffer and animated by Cooper and Ashley Arequiga the film was a CalArts graduation project. Check out the film's official website.
