VICE Creates Kung Fu Lesson Animation to Promote Wong Kar-wai's "The Grandmaster"

VICE produced three animated shorts as a promotional supplement for the release of Wong Kar-wai's "The Grand Master," a fictionalized account of the life of Chinese martial arts master (and Bruce Lee trainer) Ip Man. Each short is animated in a limited moving cartoon style and illustrates a specific martial arts style: Wing Chun, Hung Gar, and Bagua Zhang. Design and animation were done by MoreFrames, based in Erie, Pennsylvania.
