Bill Plympton's animated film is finally available online.

Indie animation legend and American director Bill Plympton, whose work has not been officially available on the Internet for the past decade, has signed a deal with Shorts International to bring his extensive independent productions to online audiences The company has now become a member of the American Shorts International. Shorts International will begin offering Plimpton's catalog of work on both iTunes and Amazon Instant Video in November. [For the past 20 years, I have kept my animation away from the Internet because I made more money on television," said Plimpton. But the deal with Shorts International was so great that I stepped up to the Internet."

To promote Plimpton's work, Shorts International now offers "Plimptoons Week" on the ShortsHD channel in the US and on ShortsTV channels in overseas territories. The program, which begins at 8:30 p.m., includes five of Plympton's short and feature films.

Plimpton's animated shorts include The Cow Who Wanted To Be A Hamburger, Guard Dog, Nosehair, Push Comes To Shove, 25 Ways To Quit Smoking, How To Kiss, The One of Those Days, and Your Face, and his features include The Tune, Idiots and Angels, Hair High, Mutant Aliens, and I Married a Strange Person. His most recent feature, "Cheatin'," and short film, "Footprints," have been nominated for this year's Academy Awards and Annie Awards.
