Apply for Animator in Residence to create a film about the sinking of the "Sea of Truth"!

Award-winning short filmmakers Uli and Michelle Kranot ("White Tape," "Hollow Land") will host a new residency program for documentary animators in Denmark.

The theme of the Anidox 2017 Summer Residency Workshop is "The Sinking of the Truth," a classic 1918 short by Windsor McKay, one of the earliest animated documentaries It was inspired by "The Sinking of the Lusitania."

During a three-week residency in Viborg, Denmark, June-July 2017, each of the six artists will create a one-minute animation, which will be edited together to form a short animated film. The artists will work on the themes of "post-truth" and "fake news.

Filmmakers may apply from anywhere in the world. Applicants must have a track record of producing animation films and be capable of self-sufficient filmmaking. The program is organized in collaboration with The Animation Workshop, a Danish animation school, and will provide the six selected artists with:
