The Simpsons 500th Anniversary

To everyone involved with "The Simpsons," a big Hooray for achieving the unprecedented goal of producing 500 episodes! Especially the $500,000 donation by Matt Groening to UCLA's Animation Program. The donation is intended to "enable visiting master artists to teach classes" and "put active professionals with a wide range of expertise to work with students." Gruning also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week. That's great.

But someone please explain this funny "Simpsons fashion" (below) that debuted in New York this week. Designer Jeremy Scott, who has previously released designs inspired by "The Flynn Stones" and Mickey Mouse, has now released an entire line dedicated to "The Simpsons."

Be that as it may, I'll be tuning in for the 500th time this coming Sunday, and like the fashions above, I'm sure the show will bring a lot of laughs. Congratulations Matt, and the crew at Film Roman.
