'Morning Stroll' Director Grant Orchard, "Chop Chop!" Ready for the

Grant Orchard, the Academy Award-nominated director of "A Morning Walk" and longtime Brew favorite, has teamed up with Studio AKA for the children's series "Chop Chop!" (tentative title). The 7-minute x 52-part series for young children was commissioned by BBC Worldwide and will have its world premiere on the company's junior division CBeebies in the fall of 2014.

The series features the adventures of Squirrel Club. The Squirrel Club consists of a group of adorable animals who are awarded badges for completing activities assigned by the club's leader, Chop Chop. According to Broadcast, the series is one of the first to receive tax relief certification from the British Film Institute since the Department of Culture, Media and Sport approved financial relief for animated programming in April.

Studio AKA's list of top clients includes companies such as Lloyds TSB, BMW, Skype, and the BBC, as well as work for children's brands such as Disney and Cartoon Network, but "Chop Chop!" is its first major contribution to children's programming . The series producers are Sue Goffe and Janine Murphy, and the executive producers are Henrietta Harford-Jones (Children's Director, BBC Worldwide) and Jackie Edwards (Animation and Acquisitions, CBeebies UK Executive Producer) will serve as executive producers.
