Cartoon Network premieres Stan Lee's "Chakra: The Invincible."

Cartoon Network will air the animated superhero film "Chakra: The Invincible" throughout Southeast Asia on November 30. The character was developed by Stan Lee's POW! Entertainment and Graphic India. The project, which Stan Lee optimistically calls "a thrilling superhero saga," is the picture-perfect film that has characterized Lee's twilight years:

Chakra: The Invincible is the story of Raju Rai, an Indian boy living in Mumbai Raju and his mentor, Raju Rai. Raju and his mentor, Dr. Singh, a scientist, develop a technological suit that activates the body's mystical chakras. Wearing the suit, Raju discovers his psychic powers and vows to use his new abilities to fight, protect, and serve the supervillains.

Sharad Devarajan, one of the co-founders of Graphic India, directed and executive produced the film. Indian comic artist Jeevan J. Kang oversaw character design and production design. Graphic India is a large company jointly owned by Liquid Comics and CA Media. The latter is an investment firm run by Peter Chernin, former president of News Corporation (parent company of 20th Century Fox and Fox Broadcasting).

Cartoon Network reaches only 34 million people in Southeast Asia. Therefore, Rovio Entertainment (creators of the Angry Birds franchise) plans to expand Chakra's reach globally by featuring the film on its new animation channel ToonsTV, which is scheduled to expand significantly in 2014.
