Animation's dominance recedes on FOX Sunday programming

Fox's Sunday night lineup was named "Animation Domination" in May 2005, but it wasn't until 2010 that it officially became all about animation. Now, with the announcement of the fall 2014 schedule, it has been revealed that Sunday night animation will give way to the live-action comedies "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" and "Mulaney" to take its place.

With American Dad! moving to TBS later this year, The Simpsons, Family Guy, and Bob's Burgers will fend for themselves until 2015, when the Seth MacFarlane-produced animated comedy Bordertown will premiere.

Also debuting on Fox in 2015, The Last Man on Earth will be produced by SNL native Will Forte ("McGruber," "Nebraska") and animation directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller ("Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs," "The LEGO Movie"). The show follows Phil Miller (Forte) as he discovers that he may be the last person left on earth after an "impossible event."
