Danger Mouse" to be rebooted in 2015

Television executives seem to be stuck in a never-ending nostalgia loop. In the past week, "The Lion King," "Magic School Bus," "Powerpuff Girls," ...... And now a reboot or spin-off of "Danger Mouse" has been announced. The iconic British cartoon series, which was produced by British studio Cosgrove Hall from 1981 to 1992, will return to the small screen next year for 52 11-minute episodes. [The production is commissioned by CBBC and co-produced by Irish studio Boulder Media and FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment, the latter of which owns the television and licensing rights to the characters. The revival will be directed by Robert Cullen ("The Amazing World of Gumball," "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends") and will employ a mixed-media approach to give it a "unique look and feel." [In a BBC press release, Brian Cosgrove said, "When I helped create Danger Mouse, I had no idea that the show would be such a huge success in the UK and beyond. I am thrilled to be part of this new 21st century series." I can't wait to find out what he has been up to for the last 23 years."

Danger Mouse's impressive mailbox headquarters will be updated to reflect modern gadgets, most notably his signature eye patch, which will be replaced by an "i-patch" containing "multiple technological features."
