Disney TV signs Aaron Springer, Honen Vasquez, Jesse Ledoux, Ryan Quincy

Today, Disney TV Animation announced an unusual pilot agreement and projects with uncharacteristic Disney creators. The first three projects are pilot deals. In years past, animated pilots were rarely reported to the public, but after "Adventure Time" became a fan-favorite and went on to become a series, pilot agreements became public knowledge:

In addition to pilots, Disney and a new short series, "Future Worm!" from Ryan Quincy, who created the short-lived IFC series "Out There" after working on "South Park" (Disney XD) was also announced. Future Worm! is about a boy who builds a time machine lunchbox and befriends a worm from the future.

Disney TV also announced the development of a Disney Channel/Disney XD TV special about a haunted house ride. The show will be art-directed by illustrator Gri Grimley, who will executive produce the show with "Phineas and Ferb" story editor Scott Peterson. Peterson will write the special program with Joshua Pruett, also from "Phineas and Ferb."

Meanwhile, with the production of "Phineas and Ferb" winding down, Disney also announced a development deal for a new project with the show's co-creator, Dan Povenmire. The show's other creator, Jeff "Swampy" Marsh, is now set to direct a European feature co-production called Unstable, produced by Peiffer Productions and Surfer Jack Productions.
