Watch the Don Hertzfeldt Couch Gag from tonight's season premiere of "The Simpsons"

Tonight, Don Hertzfeldt joins the ranks of directors who have created the opening "couch gag" for The Simpsons. Other artists who have worked on the opening include Sylvan Shomet, John Kricfalusi, Michael Socha, Bill Plympton, Banksy, and Guillermo del Toro.

Al Jean, executive producer of The Simpsons, revealed in an interview that the stick figure maestro created "a brilliant couch gag" and warned that "if you miss it, you will really regret it."
