'Gravity Falls' produces stop-motion Ray Harryhausen tribute

The latest episode of Gravity Falls takes place in an anthology format like The Simpsons' Treehouse of Horror, with actual stop-motion animation referencing Harryhausen films like "The Adventures of Sinbad" and "Jason and the Argonauts." It includes an ambitious homage to stop-motion legend Ray Harryhausen (1920-2013). Harryhausen appears in the episode as "Harry Claymore," and there are many inside jokes about the animation process and stop-motion gags about Gumby.
