Screen Novelties Creates "Elf" X-Mas Special for NBC

The stop-motion specialists at Los Angeles-based Screen Novelties will present a new holiday special, "Elf: Buddy's Musical Christmas," airing Tuesday, December 16 at 8pm ET/PT on NBC. Screen Novelties also produced Nickelodeon's 2012 Christmas special, "It's a SpongeBob Christmas."

The 2003 Will Ferrell comedy and subsequent Broadway adaptation of "Elf: The one-hour special will feature nine songs, including "Happy All the Time," "A Christmas Song," and "Nobody Cares About Santa Claus." Included. Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory) will voice the lead role of Buddy.

Produced by Warner Bros. Animation. Directed by Mark Caballero and Seamus Walsh from a script by Thomas Meehan, Bob Martin, Aaron Horvath, and Michael Jelenic.
