Disney will air classic animated films on Time Warner's TCM.

[A new television show, "Treasures From the Disney Vault," has been announced for broadcast on Turner Classic Movies (TCM), a Time Warner subsidiary. The program will include episodes of classic Disney films, shorts, documentaries, and TV series including "Disneyland" and "Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color. "TCM will air Disney programming on a quarterly basis.

Titles already announced to air on TCM include Disney's live-action feature films such as "Treasure Island" (1950), "Darby Ogil and the Little People" (1959), and "Pollyanna" (1960); "The Three Caballeros" (1944); "Ichabod and Toad's Adventure (1949), as well as animated films such as Disney's classic He has also produced made-for-television series such as "Davy Crockett," special episodes of "Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color," documentaries about the studio such as "Walt and El Grupo" (2009) and "Sleeping Beauty" (2010), "The Flower and the Tree," "Chip and Dale, Santa's Workshop, and other animated shorts.

According to TCM's website, the first nine-hour Disney Vault program will air on the evening of December 21.

The TCM agreement between Disney and Time Warner is part of a larger mutual cooperation effort in which Turner Classic Movies will assist Disney in revamping the pre-show and finale of the Great Movie Ride at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Fla. As part of the effort, TCM will be credited as "Presented by" on the ride.
