'Pen Zero' debuts this Friday on Disney XD

Disney will air a Christmas special on DisneyXD this Friday, kicking off the new action/comedy series "Pen Zero: Part-Time Hero." According to some viewer reports, the holiday episode is already available on the DisneyXD app. The series is scheduled to begin airing regularly in early 2015.

Created by Jared Bush and Sam Levine, the show follows Penn Zero, a child on a mission to save the world for his superhero parents, who are trapped in an alternate dimension called "the most dangerous world imaginable." In the holiday special "Northpole Down," Penn is lonely spending his first holiday without his parents and travels to the North Pole to help Santa. Henry "The Fonz" Winkler guest stars as a snowman.

The special will air on Friday, December 5 at 7:00 PM ET/PD. The opening titles are listed above, and a promo for the special "Northpole Down" can be found here:
