Watch the opening titles of the Disney film "Star vs. the Army of Evil"

Disney's new television series "Stars vs. the Army of Evil" will air a special preview on the Disney Channel on Sunday, January 18 at 9 p.m. ET. The series is scheduled to begin airing regularly on Disney XD in 2015.

As previously noted, show creator Daron Neafsey graduated from CalArts in 2009 and is, amazingly, only the second woman in the 30-plus year history of the Disney TV animation division to produce a TV series on her own. The only other woman to have produced a Disney animated TV series was Sue Rose, who produced "Pepper Ann" 17 years ago.
