Netflix and Warners offer "Green Eggs and Ham.

One of the most beloved Dr. Seuss films will be available on Netflix.

Warner Bros. Animation has entered into its first partnership with Netflix and will begin production on 13 episodes of "Green Eggs and Ham" in May for a 2018 premiere.Deadline estimates that the series will cost $5 If Deadline's unconfirmed reports are accurate, this would be an unprecedented cost for an animated TV series outside of "The Simpsons." The Simpsons.

Audrey Geisel, Sooth's widow, who manages Sooth's estate and has publicly stated that Sooth would have turned in his grave in the 2003 film "Cat in the Hat," has expressed her approval of the new project.

The series will be scripted by Jared Stern, who is best known for contributing material to "Wreck-It Ralph" and "The Princess and the Frog" and a story to the "The Lego Movie" sequel. Stern will also serve as executive producer along with Ellen DeGeneres, Jeff Klieman, Mike Kers and David Dobkin.

According to Variety, the deal between Netflix and Warner Bros. took more than a year to resolve because there was no existing contract template between the two companies; Netflix wants to offer its programming to customers in the more than 50 countries where it operates, Warner Bros, would give up international distribution rights, which can be an attractive profit area for television producers. However, Netflix pays producers a hefty licensing fee up front.
