First Look Fox "Goran the Insatiable

Fox will debut a new 30-minute animated series, "Golan the Insatiable," on Sunday, May 31. Here's a preview:

The series, created by Josh Miller and developed by Dave Jeser and Matt Silverstein (co-creators of "Drawn Together"), originally aired on FOX's Saturday late-night show "Animation Domination High- Def" (ADHD) as an 11-minute series, but the block was canceled last summer.

ADHD was conceived by former Adult Swim executive Nick Weidenfeld and was also intended to be an incubator for primetime programming on Fox. Golan's new series is the first primetime order derived from the ADHD block, and its first season will consist of six episodes.

The show will be produced by Friends Night in collaboration with Double Hem. Brooklyn-based Augenblick Studios, which also produces Comedy Central's Ugly Americans series and Superjail! The voices of the main characters, Goran, a "godlord" from another dimension, and Dylan, a nine-year-old girl from Minnesota, are voiced by Rob Riggle and Aubrey Plaza, respectively. Other voices include Ken Marino, John DiMaggio, Maria Bamford, Rachel Butera, and Nick Rutherford.

Weidenfeld produced the series with Hend Baghdadi, Silverstein, and Jaser, along with Josh Miller as co-executive producer.

Correction: A version of this article prior to the June 6, 2015 article incorrectly listed Augenblick Studios as the show's producer. Friends Knight and Double Hem produced the series, while Augenblick Studios animated some of the episodes and is officially credited with "additional animation."
