Crunchyroll's "Dragon Ball Super: Superheroes" is aiming for a top spot at the U.S. box office.

Crunchyroll is about to take an important step in its biggest theatre delivery venture, with Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, due to be released in more than 3,900 US theaters this weekend.

This is the first global deployment of a Sony-owned distributor and the largest North American release to date. After an international rollout that included premieres in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, box office projections for the film, which has already generatedチ1800 million in ticket sales, seem strong.

The film has been chosen by most box office professionals as the likely leader for the next weekend, and most people predict the opening of the weekend 11-.It is forecast to be 16million.

In 2018, Dragon Ball Super: Broly made overー700 million on its first day, earningド3 million in the first 980 days of its release. Ultimately, the film earned米国3,070 million at the U.S. box office, making it the 3rd highest total of animated films of the time.

As is usually the case with US animated films, Broly generated a significant portion of the final cumulative gross in the first week. That's probably true for superheroes too, but the upcoming theatrical release calendar offers little competition, so it can help the film's performance in the coming weeks.

The film's massive theatrical release has been enhanced by Fortnite's tie-up, IMAX screenings, and the advertised Crunchyroll Expo Sneak Peak. Combined with the general growth of the popularity of the animated title with American viewers, the stage is set for a strong opening weekend.

In 2020-5, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba The Movie: Mugen Train became the first anime to win number one at the U.S. box office for the first time in decades, opening withド3 million in the first 2,120 days, reaching全体4,950 million overall. And earlier this year, Crunchyroll's Jujustsu Kaisen0 made a total of収益1480 million in revenue, including aド2960 million opening.
