Pixar-s-Elio- will get its first trailer and release date of 2024/3/1.

Disney and Pixar today released a trailer for Adrian Molina's upcoming animated feature Elio, which will be released in theaters in 2024/3/1.

Until now, everything we knew about the film came from a few sentences from the release and a few stills shared at D23Expo last year. Today's trailer gives a better look at what is expected in the 3rd month of next year. Some of the character design jobs seem particularly fun.

Pixar has a bit of history mixed with sci-fi movies. Wall-E in 2008 is a very beloved modern classic, but last year's Lightyear struggled to find an audience at the box office and was not close to the cultural impact of the Toy Story franchise.

Elio's director Molina is best known as the screenwriter and co-director of Coco. That said, this will be his feature-length directorial debut, because Coco's co-director title shows a position to serve the director, not on an equal footing. In any case, Pixar would certainly want Molina to be able to replicate some of Coco's magic.

Who worked with Molina as an associate producer of Pixar's Mary Alice Drum Coco, has produced, perhaps enhancing its contingency potential.

Elio's synopsis of Pixar,

The original feature film introduces Elio, an underdog with an active imagination who finds himself inadvertently beamed into Communiverse, representatives from a much wider galaxy and interplanetary organizations. Mistakenly identified as Earth's ambassador to the rest of the universe and not fully ready for that kind of pressure, Elio must survive a series of formidable trials, forming new bonds with quirky alien life forms and somehow discover who he really means to be.

Today's announcement also revealed that Jameela Jamil and Brad Garrett will be joining the previously announced voice cast members America Ferrera and Yonas Kibreab. The company also shared a new poster seen below.
