CEE Animation Forum will announce the project pitching lineup for 2023.

CEE Animation Forum, a major regional pitching, fundraising and co-production event in Eastern Europe, revealed this year's project pitching lineup. CEE2023 will be held in Plzen, Czech Republic from 11-8-9.

CEE Animation is a regional gathering for the promotion and development of animation by artists from more than 20 countries in Central and Eastern Europe. This year marks the 11th anniversary of the event, which aims to increase professional opportunities, showcase the capabilities of filmmakers and producers, and improve the quality of content created and produced in the region.

In addition to its traditional industry activities, this year's edition will host the launch of a new platform called Market, developed to provide visibility to animation projects at any stage and facilitate one-on-one meetings between experts.

The CEE Animation Forum's 2023 project line-up includes 28 titles that demonstrate the phenomenal commercial growth of the animation industry in the region. The total budget for this year's project is 2,900 million euros (ド3,170 million), the highest ever. The production scene in the region is also diversifying, and this year's lineup has appeared at about the same rate as kids, teens, young adults and adult animation.

Marta Jallageas, Managing Director of the CEE Animation Forum, said of this year's event:"Every year we see ambitious, high-quality projects submitted to the event. We recognize the importance of helping them gain visibility and attract the attention of decision makers. Therefore, we have strategically decided to introduce the market as a new feature. The aim is to create a dedicated showcase for animation projects that are still looking for partners, regardless of the stage."
