"The Monkey King" was watched more than any other movie on Netflix last week.

Anthony Stacchi's The Monkey King was the most watched movie on Netflix last week, and it was its first full week on the platform.

Monkey King, a family-friendly animated adaptation of one of China's most popular fantasy stories, was viewed 23.2 million hours and played 8 million times in the week of March 21-27, 14.4 million times. It made it the most viewed movie on the platform, but the Gal Gadot-led Heart of Stone was watched more times. It said that the heart of the stone half an hour longer than the monkey king.

Last week, Monkey King debuted in 7th place, even though it was only available for 3 days out of the 2 days tracked.

Monkey King's consecutive top 10 appearances continue the success of a series of Netflix original animations. All of the platform's original features announced this year have hit the top 10, including The Magician's Elephant, Nimona, Miraculous: Ladybug & Cat Noir and The Movie, and with audience-friendly fare like leo and Chicken Run: Dawn of The Nugget next, that hot streak seems likely to continue.

The Monkey King is the story of a charismatic monkey and his magical sensuous battle stick, and along the over-inflated ego path of 100 demons, an eccentric dragon king, and the monkey itself, a young village girl challenges the monkey's narcissistic attitude and proves that even the smallest pebble can make a huge impact on the world. This film is an incredible 2013 live-action adaptation of the same story, a journey to the West: Conquering the devil, as well as other classics such as Kung Fu Hustle and Shaolin Football

Two other animated films, the tenth time on the list, for the week of Netflix English top 10 May 21-27–the fifth Boss Baby And the debut Tamma finished in ninth place

After the first full week on Netflix, My father Bounty Hunter Season Two made the English TV list in tenth place. Season 8 of Gabby's Dollhouse continues to be a streamer hit, and since it debuted on March 8-7, it has made it into the top 3 in week 10.
