"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem" will be available for rent or purchase from tomorrow.

The Digital version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem will be available to buy or rent on demand starting tomorrow, just 8 days after its theatrical debut on 2 May 30.

Many sources had previously reported that the film will be released on 9/5, but no citations. Today, Paramount Home Entertainment officially announced that the actual PVOD release date will be 9/1.

Thirty Days is a quick turnaround for a movie that scores well with critics and audiences and opened with solid box-office figures. By comparison, Pixar's Elemental hit theaters on 6/16, with no digital downloads available until 8/15. Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse was released in theaters on 6/2 and didn't hit PVOD until 8/8.

The Mutant Mayhem worked well outside the gate and has had decent legs, though not stunning in the weeks since. Last weekend, it was still the number five at the domestic box office and made made7.3M, a drop of only 14.6% from the previous week. The film also passed aマ100 million milestone at the domestic box office this week, bringing an impressive return to THE work, which cost only770M.

Adding to the film's overseas37M overseas haul, Mutant Mayhem has nearly doubled its production budget at the box office. According to Deadline, the Turtles franchise is already in 2023 generatingド10 billion in global retail sales. It is clear that the calculation of the profitability of Mutant Mayhem should take into account several factors, including the earnings of PVOD. Perhaps it is one reason for a short exclusive theater window.
