The animation is a movie that opens in 2023 - Boy and Heron, - and close - Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget.

Los Angeles Animation is a Film (AIF) festival founded by distributor GKIDS in partnership with the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and Variety

Aif opens with Hayao Miyazaki's latest film "Boy and Heron" and will be screened at the TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX. After 5 days, the festival will end with Aardman-produced Netflix original Sam Fell's Chicken Run: Dawn of The Nugget, which will hit the platform on 12/15.

In the release, AIF executive Director Matt Kaszanek said:

Animation is not just the name of the film festival, but its mission. New movies from studios Ghibli and Aardman are the reason for any medium film lovers to rejoice with the event of earthquake cinema. Joining these titles is a collection of some of the boldest, genre-agnostic, and critically acclaimed films of the year. We are so proud to present them in Los Angeles.

For its sixth edition, animation, the film is back with a great program featuring the main award-winning film at Annecy on May 6 last year. Chicken for Linda. Crystal for Feature Films), Robot Dreams (Contrechamp Award) and 27 (Crystal for Short Films) are one of the great selections of films and again, we are proud to be associated with this celebration of the best in animation.

In addition to its feature and short film lineup, this year's AIF will feature Warner Bros.' 100th anniversary–Looney Tunes shorts and Artist Q's program&A;Disney's 100th Anniversary – new Disney short Films Once Upon a Studio and upcoming animated films. A special event will be held for the North American premiere of the short film "Spider-Verse Story," set in the world of the Spider–Verse franchise.

The AIF also hosts a selection of short films from the festival's educational partners. There are: California Institute of the Arts; University of Southern California; California State University, Long Beach; California State University, Fullerton. The list of titles will be released soon.
