Netflix's “All Hail King Julien” led the animation pack with three wins.

The winners in the creative arts categories of the 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards were announced on Friday night. The big animation winner of the evening was the Netflix show All Hail King Julien, which took home three awards, including the prize for children's animated program.

The DreamWorks Animation series, a spinoff of the Madagascar theatrical franchise, debuted last December. Ten episodes of its 22-episode first season order are currently available on Netflix.

In a sign of changing times, Internet animation projects dominated many of the other animation categories as well. Amazon's Tumble Leaf won the award for pre-school chidren's animated program, while Moonbot's Silent, a short commissioned by Dolby which debuted on YouTube, won two awards, including special class animated program, where it was competing against Phineas and Ferb and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
